Romans
From Bible Study
In Romans, the apostle Paul discusses sin, its consequences, and how to conquer it through Christ and God. == Overview == Romans is the main doctrinal book of the NT. Romans is divided in an outer and an inner part. In the outer part, Rom 1-Rom 5:11 and Rom 9 and on, Jesus is presented as Son of ABRAHAM. It is about Jew and Gentile, about SINS,about GOD counting our faith as righteousness. The inner part, Rom 5:12-Rom 8 Jesus is preented as Son of ADAM,Son of MAN. Nothing about Jew or Gentile, it is about SIN and US counting dead to sin etc. Paul shows his insight into the MYSTERY of Christ Rom 16, Which had been kept silent in O.T. This is a preparation for understanding THE mystery in Ephesians and Colossians.
